Q: I only want Short Term Disability because DriveTime pays for it, is this possible?

A: No.  The STD and LTD coverages are bundled.  This means that if you are enrolled in one, you have to be enrolled in the other.  You will pay for the LTD and DriveTime pays for the STD coverage.

Q: Is child birth covered in STD Short Tearm Disability?

A: Yes, childbirth is considered an eligible disability under the Short Term Disability policy; however, this is subject to pre-existing condition where applicable.  Under our STD plan you have a 14 day waiting period (from the date of the disability) and the STD coverage is typically 6 weeks, but depends on how long your doctor has authorized. Your disability ends once your doctor clears you to return to work.
