What is COBRA?
The Consolidated Omnibus Budge Reconciliation Act of 1985
(COBRA) is designed to help you maintain your insurance coverage if
you experience a qualifying event.
What does this mean?
This means that you have a right to keep your current coverage
by taking over the entire insurance premium. Coverage periods
may vary but are generally 18 months.
How much does it cost?
The COBRA premium cost is paid monthly and is the total amount
of employee and employer contributions.
