Personal Leave Policy

 

Eligibility for Personal Leave

Regular full-time employees are eligible to request Personal Leave of Absences (PLOA) after 6 consecutive months of employment.  Eligible employees may take up to 6 weeks of unpaid leave in any rolling 12-month period with an approval letter from their supervisor and/or Regional manager.

Under this policy, employees may be required to submit documentation acceptable to DriveTime confirming their reason for the leave of absence. A Personal Leave of Absence cannot be used to extend an FMLA Leave entitlement.

PLOA

Regular full-time employees are eligible for a Personal Leave of Absence after 6 consecutive
months of employment. Eligible employees may take up to 6 weeks of unpaid leave in any rolling
12-month period with the approval of their direct supervisor and/or Regional level manager(s) (for
non-ADA or state law equivalent related purposes). Under this policy, employees may be required
to submit documentation acceptable to the Company confirming their reason for the leave of
absence. A Personal Leave of Absence (for non-ADA or state law equivalent related purposes)
cannot be used to extend an FMLA Leave entitlement.

Following approval by the Leave Department, the employee's manager and appropriate Regional  Manager will evaluate the needs of the business and the employee's request and notify the Leave Department of the final decision. Upon receipt of the response from the manager, the Leave Department will send the employee a determination letter.
